Weight Loss

Liposuction is not a weight loss strategy

I work with thousands of clients over the years, many have come to me after a liposuction procedure to learn how to eat to lose weight, 10 to 15 pounds, and how to stay in shape so that the procedure was in their for a very long time. There are others who are very obese and asked at the beginning whether it would be able to recommend a good plastic surgeon when they reach their goal weight, or very close to it, to take care of the excess skin and the contour of the body.

More recently, however, have a consultation with a woman who is very obese I'm 75 pounds to lose, she said she just wanted to lose 50 pounds and wanted to spend the rest of liposuction! He stressed the courses I want to take. I am adamant in its refusal to take her as a client.

For anyone considering liposuction is a good tool for weight loss, here's a newsflash: It certainly.

Liposuction is a surgical procedure and requires some form of anesthesia, local or general. There is no such thing as a safe surgery and the heavier the person, the greater the risk.

Although liposuction removes subcutaneous excess fat to improve the contours of the body, it has no impact on a significant amount of weight because of the number of pounds of fat that can be removed from the body is minimal: Liposuction does not remove intra-abdominal fat and visceral danger that surrounds the vital organs of your body toxic.

Although there will be no (or less) of fat cells in the area where the liposuction development procedure, and while unfinished areas in the same manner used when the weight (or weight) of the patient , the remaining fat cells in part of the body will take over. In other words, after the procedure, the more calories you spend consumed, your body will store the excess calories as fat in all the fat cells remaining in the body. (Imagine, if you will, that has a flat stomach, sleeker, and do nothing to change the way you eat. When you gain weight, all the excess calories for the thighs, buttocks, chest and back fat ... but, well, what time it still has a shaped stomach, eh cares?)
Liposuction is used to contour to your body and do not act as a tool for weight loss.

Liposuction is not a substitute for diet or exercise.

As with any cosmetic surgery, it is in your interest to give a plastic surgeon, "artist" from a medical professional, the best range of colors is possible to work with to provide the results of the most beautiful and sustainable. The best candidates for liposuction are people who are at or near their ideal weight, people in good health with life diet / exercise good style can have a piece that is not lost on a targeted area, despite diet and exercise.

There are no easy and permanent weight loss means are not their personal responsibility and commitment to behavior change, including learning what to eat, how much and when; and regular exercise can increase their efforts. Suck the fat does not remove the reason why they take first weight or eliminate the reasons that can be played on I say, condemn fraud ... and more fat.

Losing weight through liposuction is a matter of hope.
